Beethoven

Ludwig Van Beethoven was an incredible composer that we will learn about later in 4th grade. The most crazy detail about his life is that he was only 30 years old when he went completely deaf. Deafness means that he was unable to hear! Most of his later recordings were written when he could hear absolutely nothing at all. How do you think being deaf changed his life? How would it change your life? What would you do differently if you couldn't hear? Write me and tell me about it for extra credit toward your report card. While you work here is Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 that he wrote while he was deaf.
